International Women's Day is a day to celebrate!
It is International Women's Day today and what better way to inspire more women to enter into aviation than sharing some highlights about two of our colleagues.
Majella Dooley, our Client Technical Coordinator, is a qualified aircraft engineer and plays a very important role in Direct Aero Services. Co-ordinating aircraft technical service provision, arranging technical inspections, fulfilling aircraft inspections is all part of her role within our team.
Since starting out in the early nineties, she has never wavered in her passion for aviation. After taking a career break to focus on family commitments, she resumed her career and inspires others to do the same. More and more female technical inspectors are fulfilling their dreams and are in high demand.
Clodagh Bernard fulfils the role of Technical Coordinator and EASA Quality Manager for Direct Aero Services. As well as qualifying as a licensed aircraft engineer Clodagh holds a degree in Business and IT. After taking a career break, Clodagh resumed her career starting out on a part-time basis with Direct Aero Service and later resuming full-time work and has been supported by the company to pursue her Diploma in Aircraft Leasing and Finance and update her Part-145 Auditor training.
Both Majella and Clodagh are dedicated to our business and we hope that by sharing a few highlights, more women will be inspired to join the aviation community and enjoy success.
On International Women's Day, we say thank you to Clodagh and Majella for sharing their stories and continuing to support women to seek a career in aviation. Remember, their stories show that you can resume your career even after a career break. We are pleased to be an important part of their journey!
